My Ten Commandments
.0 Know that you are a minuscule insignificant piece of carbon that just happened to survive evolution. Do not think too highly of yourself.
.0 Be a human being above all things; a member of the kingdom Animalia and primus interpares among living things. Respect all creatures great and small.
.0 Approach every situation with reason and logic;except your tastes in music, sports, and love.
.0 Remember that individual differences is what fuels growth. Respect in-spite of creed, race, sexual orientation, or nationality.
.0 Let science and the scientific method guide you in understanding the physical world. Doubt everything until proven, test everything until confirmed or disproved.
.0 If you wish to believe in the spiritual world, keep it to yourself. Belief in non-evidential beings is a personal fantasy which should not be spread as facts.
.0 Know that the only constant is change. Never except anything to last forever.
.0 See all things as is. Embrace the concept of Ars Poetica - Do not find non-existent meaning in life.
.0 Do not take that which is not yours nor freely given. Being selfish is natural, but rise above your primal instincts. Altruism is the key to happiness,
.0 Finally, live life one day at a time. Tomorrow is not promised; what matters is what you do today.
