In the beginning...

On the first day, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was out of shape, having not exercised a day since it was created. There was darkness everywhere, thanks to PDS and the Nana Addo government. And God said let there be light and so it was, from lanterns to street lights and even LED ones. And the fear of God was put into the darkness that it runs at the sight of light. And God called the light day and the darkness night, wandering to herself what those arbitrary terms meant. Still, she stepped back and admired her work. So ended the day. On the second day, God realized that an atmosphere will be necessary so she sent lots of water vapor up into the sky to create clouds. Wait, when did she create water? Never mind, that was tiresome so she called it a day. So ended the day. And on the third day, God was like “This world is too wet”. Make Way

She walks to the tunes of life’s drums Dancing to the heart beat of the universe Ever in tune to her own conscience  Corners straight, prim and proper Rough edges only she can see Make way for the pathfinder, the road maker, the one who falls in love once Over and over again Make way for tomorrow’s past, changing, growing, learning, becoming. Watch as she opens up new paths for more like her, but never like her. Her name speaks volumes, transcending whatever space we put her in. The way is yours Ohemaa.

Ideas are such beautiful enigmas From Waakye to the holocaust, the best and worst of us start as just ideas Play things for our neurons to push around, in hopes that patterns may form that fill the hole in the missing sections of our puzzling existence. To find the idea of you puzzling is to admit that my understanding of enigmas is limited to riddles and tea cups. Amazing. And beautifully so. The inherent contradiction is that I doubt if you see yourself so. When you look in the mirror, do you see what I see, a giant trapped in a small vessel, with so much power and yet, so little power to overcome? Do you see the contours on your face, where the smile lines meet the sadness of yesterday that creeps occasionally to remind you of what grace means? Grace. Do you feel the universe respond to your pain as your thoughts cut you open, leaving you bleeding hope across generations?
