I do

I do
Before the gods and man
Before these men of god
Wine so red
Bread so sweet
White veil covering guilt of fornication
Dress unveiling pleasures to come

I do
With wrapped toilet rolls and incense
Voices of innocents
And the indistinguishable flashes of light

The lord be with you
Lift up your heart
It is truly right
This insanity called marriage
Through him and in him and on him and under him
Whatever position he prefers
Till death do us part
Amen.
