the thousandth time I caught myself looking straight down your cleavage
stopping short of and crash landing unto your heart

the thousandth time your smile imprints on my mind
and your giggle plays over and over again in my heard
a one hit wonder

the thousandth time my heart skips and I break a sweat when you turn the corner

the thousandth time you brushed your fingers against my skin and I I felt a million volts rip through my core
bouncing around inside me with no escape

the thousandth time you come to me crying about how he doesn't love you anymore

the thousandth time I remind you that you can do better, that you deserve better.

the thousandth time I wanted to tell you that I will never break your heart.
that I will cherish you and love you and be there for you and worship at the altar of your feet.
that I was that BETTER

the thousandth time I remember the first time you told me you loved me like a brother.
and I knew our fate was sealed

even tho you make my heart skip
we could only be friends with butterflies in my tommy
